"I promises to start a diet tomorrow" haha, how many of you have said that to yourselves? I think at one point or another we all have said something along those lines if we felt we needed to lose weight. I know I've heard my mom say it, I know I've said it.
The more we lie to ourselves the easier it gets and the farther we get from our goals. It hurts when someone else lies to us so why would we lie to ourselves? I guess I never though about it till I hear Oprah say it on her show. I had been watching on summer vacation as kid. I have since learned that "diet" isn't something you "go on" it's whatever you eat. Going on a diet says that at some time you are going to switch back to you old ways. If you change your diet your not planning to.
I am continuing to make changes to the foods I eat along with learning how to fit exercise in my life. With out change that we can keep up with we will fall back on what was so "easy" for us before. I'm not sure how it's easy to haul around extra weight but I do it...
Don't start tomorrow, start today, start NOW. Your future is only a moment away.

Foul Follow-up
It's amazing how much you can want to do something but habit just keeps you in one place. I want to lose this excess weight for so many reasons, but I'll still finding myself stagnant. I'm thinking about "restarting" the South Beach diet since I was able to lose weight steadily and pretty effortlessly. Aside from the planning that goes into not hitting Applebee's or a the drive though every day.
I've had a pretty good week, I've been kind of half ass counting calories (even though I really hate doing it) just to get an idea of what I'm consuming. I hit the gym on Monday with the hubby. We switched to a Planet Fitness so it's only $20/mo for the both of use where it use to be $60+/mo. The have a self led circuit training section and I tried it for the 1st time and really enjoyed it. Now I'm sore... 2 days later! I went for a walk with my crazy tenant and the little pupper... should have gotten a photo of him in his snow suit and boots.
They are forecasting snow for tomorrow so we'll see what we get... I'm hoping to be able to get up and down stairs tomorrow so I can do the circuit training again with out falling on my FACE!

Weight Loss, a ride or journey
When I think of a ride I think of Point A to Point B. Whether smooth and enjoyable or fast and crazy there is an end of it.
A Journey is endless full of ups and downs, twists and turns. Working though each and every moment.
I'm down about 5lbs and almost back to my lowest from the weight I'd lost earlier this year. I was very disappointed in myself for getting off track but life happens and when it's not the normal for you, you can easily fall back to the old unhealthy normal. thankfully I was off for only 3-4months before getting back "to the beach". I feel so so so much better losing the simple carbs, after a week without them I no longer want to eat the entire produce section of potatoes, the candy aisle, and every box of pasta/cereal in my house.
It's fun to think that in about 37-38lbs more lost and I'll be in "onederland"! Can I make it by Christmas, that would be exciting. I just need to find a way to balance everything. Working a full time job, coaching definably makes for balance challenges. Not to mention taking care of 3 cats, a dog, and a husband. I'm so thankful that my husband has taken over cooking as I hate to cook!

Two Steps Forward, One step back
Wow feeling very depressed and motived at fleeting moments. Made a meal plan for the next 4 days and got all the food needed to follow the South Beach plan. Hubby asked me where the junk food was, replied "fat lady doesn't need junk food but there's yogurt and pudding in the fridge" he ate 2 puddings and 2 yogurt cups.
Monday: Spinach & feta stuff chicken breasts w/ oven roasted brussel sprouts and onion
Tuesday: Small steak w/ mushrooms & asparagus
Wednesday: Taco salad
Thursday: Zucchini, summer squash, leek, and shrimp
Friday we'll grill something
Breakfast is 1c almond milk, 1T hemp seed, 1/2 banana
Lunch is left overs w/ salad.
I was feeling so shitty that I was f*ck it I'll step on the scale, happily I found that I had only gained 10lbs over the last 3 months instead of the 15-20 I thought I did. So I'm at 242lb, I can deal with that.
I start coaching tomorrow and I'm very nervous that I won't have a team since I can't get a hold of one girl and I only have 2 more! Ya 3 girls, that sucks...
Here's to a good nights sleep and a better day.
