It's amazing how much you can want to do something but habit just keeps you in one place. I want to lose this excess weight for so many reasons, but I'll still finding myself stagnant. I'm thinking about "restarting" the South Beach diet since I was able to lose weight steadily and pretty effortlessly. Aside from the planning that goes into not hitting Applebee's or a the drive though every day.
I've had a pretty good week, I've been kind of half ass counting calories (even though I really hate doing it) just to get an idea of what I'm consuming. I hit the gym on Monday with the hubby. We switched to a Planet Fitness so it's only $20/mo for the both of use where it use to be $60+/mo. The have a self led circuit training section and I tried it for the 1st time and really enjoyed it. Now I'm sore... 2 days later! I went for a walk with my crazy tenant and the little pupper... should have gotten a photo of him in his snow suit and boots.
They are forecasting snow for tomorrow so we'll see what we get... I'm hoping to be able to get up and down stairs tomorrow so I can do the circuit training again with out falling on my FACE!

Weight Loss, a ride or journey
When I think of a ride I think of Point A to Point B. Whether smooth and enjoyable or fast and crazy there is an end of it.
A Journey is endless full of ups and downs, twists and turns. Working though each and every moment.
I'm down about 5lbs and almost back to my lowest from the weight I'd lost earlier this year. I was very disappointed in myself for getting off track but life happens and when it's not the normal for you, you can easily fall back to the old unhealthy normal. thankfully I was off for only 3-4months before getting back "to the beach". I feel so so so much better losing the simple carbs, after a week without them I no longer want to eat the entire produce section of potatoes, the candy aisle, and every box of pasta/cereal in my house.
It's fun to think that in about 37-38lbs more lost and I'll be in "onederland"! Can I make it by Christmas, that would be exciting. I just need to find a way to balance everything. Working a full time job, coaching definably makes for balance challenges. Not to mention taking care of 3 cats, a dog, and a husband. I'm so thankful that my husband has taken over cooking as I hate to cook!

Emotional eating
I have been gone, hiding out, and eating... and eating way too much. Work sucks, my grandpa's cancer took a bad turn and we lost him on the 10th.
I'm hoping to find a way to work though my emotional eating. Whether I'm happy, sad, mad, excited, depressed... I eat and eat and eat.
I have coaching season starts on Tuesday that means I won't be home till 8:15 at night after working all day. I'm going to have to plan way ahead to eat right, I want to get back to eating the "South Beach" way as it is truly easy and I felt fab but the allure of fast food and deep fried cheese nuggets won over when you feel like crap.
Till next time.

Slacker <- That's me!
Wowza have I been slacking and definitely feeling it... meaning I feel like poo! Eating way too much simple sugar (picture bowls of ice cream, chip and dip, white bread galore!) and it must stop!
I love love love to eat out, growing up it was always a "reward" for good grades to go out to dinner or get an ice cream treat. Now I turn to crappy MSG filled restaurant food like I'm addicted too it. I can't stop eating it, well I can stop eating it I just have to plan ahead and not be a lazy bum! It would also help if I could find away to get my hubby to be more excited about eating healthy with me. He's not a fan of some of the new things I made that I love (such as this recipe from Pasta Queen http://pastaqueen.com/blog/2005/12/recipe-stuffed-portabello-mushrooms/) I believe it wasn't flavorful enough for him. My sister who is the world's pickiest eater ate one.
Working to recommit myself to making wiser/healthy food choices and working out minimum 5 days a week. I miss feeling energized and seeing myself shrink. I can't wait to share clothes with my sister!
I really need to find a way to become addicted to calorie counting since I know if I track those I'd be able to lose the weight with out a question. Moving forward and not looking back...

Saturday.. resting
Enjoying the day away from the gym, it's kind of weird not to be there. I'm going to go tomorrow and get some cardio in to work off the fudge pops I ate. 70 calories but still need to work them off. I did shovel some more snow off the patio to keep Mr. Maverick from peeing there and making it look gross. Don't think the tenant would like to look at that when she comes outside either.
Now I just need to keep my hubby from trying to eat everything that is loaded with grease, fat, and calories. 1st he wanted Buffalo Wild Wings, then it was pizza, then Denny's, then George Webb's! for the love of my belly flab I don't need to eat those things and if he gets them it will make me very grumpy that I can't join in like I use to. But then again, doing what I did before got me where I am now.... 100lbs over weight eww.
I was looking at local thrift stores in Milwaukee that carry vintage and designer clothes, I can't wait till I can visit the stores and not have to call 1st to see if their carry plus sizes.
Pushing on.

Day 2 At the Gym
Another day under calories! Go for me! I also did 60mins on the elliptical today and did just over 4 miles during that time, I forgot how many calories the machine said I burned but no biggie I still did the full 60 minutes!!!! So how long before I can get 5 miles in 60 minutes? Lets aim for the end of January, I'm hoping for a 10lb lose by then. Can we do it, yes we can. Motivation, determination, healthy eating, and lots of exercise.
I really have forgotten how much I love to lift weights. Feeling your muscles engage as you lift and as you complete your reps you can feel them get more and more tired but you just keep pushing on. Gaaa I love that feeling. I did the set that I had the last time attended this gym.
Looking forward to my meeting with Kip on Monday to set me up with a plan. I have a long way to go and no quick way to get there.... but I will make it there before this weight kills me or my health.
Looking forward to shopping in normal stores... not worrying but if my boobs are going to be resting on the table at a restaurant. Speaking of restaurants I have no urg for fast food, looked at taco bell when I passed this this evening when I came home from work and was like yuck. So much greasy non-filling food for so many calories!
Thinking about looking into the south beach diet or maybe just eliminating gluten.
